Play & Learning Zone

The Play and Learning Zone at the New Zealand Children’s Product Fair is a centerpiece dedicated to the development of children through play and learning. This section is designed to provide parents and children with the opportunity to explore toys and learning materials that promote cognitive, motor and social skills.

The main elements of the Play and Learning Zone:

Educational Toys:

  • Constructors and Building Blocks: Toys that help develop spatial thinking, motor skills and creativity. Includes sets for creating various structures and models;
  • Puzzles: A variety of puzzles that help develop logical thinking and attention to detail. They can be with large elements for young children or more complex for older ones.

Books and Learning Materials:

  • Books: A wide range of children’s books of different genres and topics suitable for different age groups. These can be both classic fairy tales and educational books;
  • Educational Games and Resources: Games that help with learning letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. These can be either board games or specialized educational programs and apps.

Interactive Demonstrations:

  • Toy Demonstrations: Opportunities for children to interact with toys and games so that parents can appreciate how these products work and how they can impact a child’s development;
  • Demonstration of Educational Apps: An introduction to modern educational apps and programs that offer interactive learning in a playful way.

Workshops:

  • Trainings for parents: Short seminars or workshops for parents that provide advice on choosing appropriate educational toys and materials for different age groups;
  • Working with Children: Instruction on how to organize educational play at home, including ideas for creative projects and activities.

Play Stations:

Themed Play Corners: Specially equipped play areas where children can explore different types of games and learning activities, such as laboratories for young scientists, creative studios for artists, or corners for educational games.

Goals of the Play and Learning Zone:

  • Stimulating Development: The zone aims to stimulate the all-round development of the child through interactive games and learning materials that promote the development of cognitive, physical and social skills;
  • Education for Parents: Help parents understand which toys and educational materials are most suitable for different stages of their children’s development;
  • Engagement and Interactivity: Provide opportunities for children and parents to interact with products and learn more about their benefits through hands-on experience.

The Play and Learning Zone offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about educational toys and resources that can help with child development and is a key element of the fair that supports the concept of interactive learning through play.
